Trump Threatens More Destruction In Iran After Midterm Rout: ‘Maybe I’ll Have To Destroy The Rest’
U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran following a major Republican setback in the 2026 midterm elections, suggesting that further destruction of the country remains a possibility. “I would rather not destroy the rest of the country if possible, but maybe I’ll have to,” Trump said, adding, “You’ll know soon enough.” His remarks come amid uncertainty over the future of the U.S.-Iran conflict, with Washington weighing further military action against diplomatic efforts to end the war. Trump had previously predicted that the conflict would end after the midterm elections, but his latest remarks signal that the threat of escalation remains. The warning comes as Democrats gain greater power in Congress following Republican electoral losses, potentially intensifying scrutiny of Trump’s military strategy and foreign policy decisions.
