Alleged infighting between two BJP factions over extortion in the name of an auto union triggered violence in Falta’s Mallikpur. Bombs were hurled, two autos vandalised and two persons injured. Falta MLA Debangshu Panda denied BJP involvement, blaming Trinamool workers for the clash over money collection. Police are investigating.
